Wesley Anderegg

Wesley Anderegg is well known for his quirky ceramic characters. The artist has long been preoccupied with people watching and musing about what his subjects might be thinking or wanting to do if they could. In Anderegg's work, he gives free rein to his imaginings as he creates his idiosyncratic figures in clay. They may be both frightening and incredibly humorous at the same time. His mastery of clay sculpting and glazing is noteworthy and his work has been acquired by many private collectors and museums throughout the United States.

Anderegg received his Bachelor of Science in Geography from Arizona State University in Tempe and now resides in California. He has taught and conducted workshops at Anderson Ranch Art Center, Snowmass, Colorado and the Archie Bray Foundation, Helena, Montana. His list of exhibitions worldwide and related awards is lengthy.
